Start planning now

It is my pleasure to welcome you this week on behalf of everyone associated with PGA TOUR Americas, from our dedicated staff , current membership and alumni, to the countless volunteers and proud sponsors.

This week, you have the opportunity to watch and connect with the next generation of Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR stars. Before they represented Canada at the Presidents Cup, Taylor Pendrith, Mackenzie Hughes and Adam Hadwin won on PGA TOUR Americas, while 2024 Olympians Corey Conners and Nick Taylor also honed their skills on this tour, alongside PGA TOUR winners Jake Knapp, Joel Dahmen, Sepp Straka, Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak. The players you watch this week will follow in these players’ footsteps and become household names, win tournaments worldwide and represent their countries at the game’s highest level.

Last season, Fortinet Cup Champion Johnny Keefer earned a promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour where he is already a winner. This week is an important step for the game’s up-and-coming stars and will go a long way in determining this season’s race for the Fortinet Cup.

The 2025 season will see our membership compete in 16 events across eight countries for 10 Korn Ferry Tour cards. Through PGA TOUR University and our robust international membership, the competition on PGA TOUR Americas is only getting stronger.

I hope you have a memorable week – because of the players you watch, as well as the time you spend with friends and family. Thank you for your support of PGA TOUR Americas!

Alex Baldwin

President, PGA TOUR Pathways

When the 16-event PGA TOUR Americas season ends in September, the top 10 players in the Fortinet Cup standings will earn exempt membership on the Korn Ferry Tour next season.

After a brief off season, the Korn Ferry Tour begins in January and it’s onto the next stage of their careers. From the Korn Ferry Tour, the top 20 players at the end of the season will earn golf’s ultimate promotion: a PGA TOUR card.

Those #TOURBound graduates are now seasoned, ready to compete against the best on golf’s biggest stages. For many players, the path to the PGA TOUR starts with PGA TOUR Americas. This week’s event is an important step on that path.

LOCAL TALENT ON THE RISE

Last July, Darren Roach captured the 2024 NB Men’s Amateur Championship with a final score of -7 over three rounds — a stellar performance that earned him a coveted spot in the 2025 Omnium Explore NB Open, part of PGA TOUR Americas.

The decision to include the province’s top amateur in the field reflects the tournament’s commitment to growing the game right here in New Brunswick — providing a platform where local talent can shine alongside international rising stars.

It’s a true pleasure to welcome players, fans, volunteers, partners, and supporters from across the region and beyond to beautiful Mactaquac Golf Course for the second edition of the Explore NB Open, a proud stop on PGA TOUR Americas schedule.

Building on the momentum of our inaugural year, this event continues to grow—not only as a competitive showcase for rising stars on the path to the PGA TOUR, but as a celebration of all that makes New Brunswick special. Whether you’re following the action on the course or enjoying the energy of our Fan Zone—our family-friendly hub filled with activities, local vendors, and entertainment—we hope your experience is immersive and uniquely New Brunswick.

This tournament also plays an important role in supporting the next generation of the game. We’re proud to recognize the growing impact of junior golf in our province and the young players and programs that are helping to grow the sport from the grassroots up. Inspiring future golfers is central to our mission, and it’s our hope that events like ours help spark lifelong connections to both the game and the land.

Off the course, our continued partnership with Soldier On underscores the deeper purpose behind the Explore NB Open. More than a trophy — a work of art

We are proud to present the exquisite Explore NB Open trophy, a fusion of artistry and heritage rooted in the cultural landscape of New Brunswick.

This one-of-a-kind piece was designed and handcrafted by Shane Perley-Dutcher, a Wolastoqiyik sculptor and jewellery artist whose work bridges tradition and contemporary expression. Using a handwoven silver technique inspired by ancestral basketry, Shane created a breathtaking tribute to the land, the people, and the enduring spirit of the Wolastoqey.
