It’s a pleasure to welcome everyone to the Explore NB Open – PGA Tour Americas Golf Tournament, an event we have all been eagerly anticipating.

Over the next few days, we will get to see a high level of golf played at the Mactaquac Golf Course by some of the sport’s best young players.

I want to congratulate all the people who worked so hard to make this event happen, including the organizers, sponsors and countless volunteers.

It is a point of pride that the Mactaquac Golf Course was chosen as one of only 10 stops on this tour. Not only is this an opportunity for locals and visitors to enjoy watching the next generation of professional golfers play, but it is also a chance for everyone to enjoy all that New Brunswick and this region has to offer.

I know you will find a warm welcome and lots to explore while you’re here.

Thank you and enjoy this exciting event!

Welcome founding partners, golfers and spectators to the Explore NB Open.

I would like to take this time to thank our founding partners whose commitment to this region and our province is unparalleled.

WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL EXPLORE NB OPEN!

I’m beyond excited to extend a warm welcome to all our fantastic fans and players as we gear up for the very first Explore NB Open.

This tournament marks a significant milestone for us. It’s the first time the PGA TOUR Americas has landed right here in New Brunswick, and that’s a pretty big deal!

This event isn’t just about the excitement of the game; it’s also about showcasing the incredible talent that’s brewing on the greens all around the world. The players, hailing from various backgrounds, share a common dream: making it big on the Korn Ferry Tour and, eventually, the PGA TOUR. Every swing and putt they make brings them one step closer to achieving that dream.

And this year, we’re proud to announce our partnership with Soldier On. Net proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit Soldier On members, making a positive impact in our community and beyond.

Whether you’re here to watch the action unfold or compete for glory, the Explore NB Open promises an unforgettable experience for all. Soak in the beauty of New Brunswick’s landscape, immerse yourself in the excitement of the tournament, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

As your host, I’m honored to have you here. If there’s anything you need during your time at the Explore NB Open, please feel free to reach out. Your comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities.

Wishing you an incredible experience at the Explore NB Open!

WELCOME FROM THE PGA

With the inaugural season of PGA TOUR Americas underway, we are thrilled to welcome our fans to watch the future stars of the PGA TOUR.

Our players have come from a variety of backgrounds to get where they are now, but they all share the same goal: to earn their Korn Ferry Tour card, and eventually their PGA TOUR card. Cards will be awarded to the top 10 players in the Fortinet Cup season-long points list, meaning every tournament, round and shot could be the difference in earning Korn Ferry Tour membership.

On top of showcasing the talents of our players, our priority is to provide PGA TOUR Americas members and fans with a world class experience, inside and outside the ropes. Inside the ropes, the competition and course layouts will replicate what players will see at the next level on the Korn Ferry Tour. Outside the ropes, tournaments are committed to making an impact in the communities where they play.

Since 2013, PGA TOUR Americas tournaments have raised over $6 million for various charities. Our tournaments are committed to making an impact in their local communities, and delivering a positive, memorable experience for the fans who come out to support our players.

On behalf of all our tournaments and staff, I want to wish you all the best in your PGA TOUR Americas experience. If there is anything you need from myself or our staff, we are here to support you in any way we can to make your time on-site memorable.

Tournament Information

From the season-opener in Tulum, Mexico to the September finale in Caledon, Ontario, PGA TOUR Americas players are competing for the Fortinet Cup and a promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour next season.

As the top two players from the Latin America Swing, New Zealander Harry Hillier and Canadian Matthew Anderson have already secured Korn Ferry Tour conditional membership for 2025. They still have plenty to play for: if they finish in the top 10 in the final Fortinet Cup standings, they will upgrade their status to fully exempt next year.

And the season’s ultimate goal remains: hoisting the Fortinet Cup at Osprey Valley.

PGA Tour America

Springtime marks graduation for students, but for professional golfers, the fall is when diplomas – or Tour Cards – are earned.

When the 16-event PGA TOUR Americas season ends in September, the top 10 players in the Fortinet Cup standings will earn exempt membership on the Korn Ferry Tour next season.

After a brief offseason, the Korn Ferry Tour begins in January and it’s onto the next stage of their careers. From the Korn Ferry Tour, the top 30 players at the end of the season will earn golf’s ultimate promotion: a PGA TOUR card.

Those #TOURBound graduates are now seasoned, ready to compete against the best on golf’s biggest stages. For many players, the path to the PGA TOUR starts with PGA TOUR Americas. This week’s event is an important step on that path.

Visit the PGA TOUR Americas website to dive into the latest news, upcoming events, and in-depth coverage of your favorite players.
